EC VSV have recorded their fourth win of the season over SAPA Fehervar AV 19, an important win fort hem as they aim for fifth place in the table, which the Hungarian team had wanted themselves.

A strong start by EC VSV saw Tommi Satosaari getting warmed up, but he was up to the challenges posed. Instead, SAPA Fehervar took the lead. Gert Prohaska blocked a shot by Balazs Ladanyi and Marton Vas was there to knock in the rebound.
The Eagles turned the game around with two goals inside 18 seconds. Mike Stewart struck first on the Powerplay before Mickey Elick gave his side the lead. The Devils were not ready to keel over without a fight. Another Powerplay situation occured two minutes later and Marton Vas scored his second of the night. Mike Martin grabbed the lead with a counter attack still in the middle period. The final twenty minutes started with Jonathan Ferland finishing a clever pass by Phil Pinter. The Devisl fought back, but when Viktor Tokajis goal was ruled out for crease offside, their spirits sunk. Ferland added a second goal and Nathan DiCasmirro deflected Jean-Francois Fortins shot past Satosaari for the final score. VSV are now fifth with three points ahead of Zagreb and guaranteed a play-off-spot.
